The Opportunity
We are looking for a highly motivated Contracts Administrator to join our team based in Gisborne. In this role you will provide support to our Department and Divisional Managers with the running of their Maintenance and Construction contracts.
This role will see you manage contracts by taking ownership of invoicing, claiming, database system updating and programming. This is a key role within our team and carries a significant amount of responsibility for the collection and delivery of information from several internal and external sources as well as report writing.
Other responsibilities will be:
- Manage Request for Services systems for numerous contracts
- Enter and maintain weekly plant information from teams in to the system for accurate safety/compliance recording
- Managing internal requests inbox and updating clients on variations
- Data entry for plant/diesel/water tracking
- Attend Internal & External operational and review meetings
- Send out pricing requests to suppliers and subcontractors
- Manage the tender process from tender request to submission.
- Receive, allocate & update RAMM Database for numerous contracts
- Contractual and general admin ad hoc duties as required
- Assist with accounting activities ahead of time
What you’ll bring to the table
Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working on construction and maintenance contracts or similar. Other attributes include:
- Sound numerical skills and an understanding of job costing
- Experienced user of the Microsoft suite of programmes, Excel, Word, Outlook etc.
- Ability to develop and manage relationships with internal stakeholders, clients & subcontractors
- Excellent report writing skills
- Technical knowledge of construction and the contracting Industry is desirable
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Knowledge of general accounting/account balancing
- Experience using RAMM Database
- Class 1 drivers’ license
- Strong attention to detail & problem solving skills
