Position Summary
We are currently seeking a Collector to join our team who will be responsible for daily collection calls. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, have strong communication skills, and an ability to gather information and build a relationship with a customer.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain and monitor account payments and collection of debt by initiating and continuing consistent communication with debtors and Franchisees
Notify debtors of overdue payments and accounts by telephone, email, and mail, and continue the notification process if reply is not received
Build rapport and engage customers to deliver an exceptional customer experience
Advise Franchisees and Portfolio Management team of any collection issues
Inquire about the customers’ billing and payment schedules and document all relevant information about the debtor
Collaborate with the Cash Application team to ensure accurate allocation of all Accounts Receivable
Perform other duties as required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent communication skills over the phone, in-person, and email
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and email applications (Gmail)
Effective time management, organization, and detail orientation skills
Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills
Ability to meet or exceed established goals and targets
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
2-3 years of collections experience
