Gastro Care Partners Hiring for Accounts Payable Posting Specialist at Remote Full Time

Gastro Care Partners is actively seeking a skilled, compassionate, and motivated Payment Poster to join our dynamic, growing team!

The Accounts Payable Posting Specialist is responsible for accurately posting patient payments, third party payments and rejections/denials to patient accounts both manually and electronically. They are responsible for the accurate, timely, processing of refund requests resulting in credit balances to cash suspense accounts and posting daily mail to patient accounts. The Accounts Payable Posting Specialist balances, logs and records deposits and batches, tracking completion on a daily basis to ensure the daily close of books. The position demands an analytical approach to resolving posting issues, requiring data analysis, in-depth evaluation and sound judgement to recognize trends and patterns of denials or billing practices in order to proactively resolve recurring issues.

What will you do?

• Ensure all incoming payments, allowances, adjustments, denial/rejections are posted correctly and in a timely manner.
• Reconcile all posted monies according to proper company procedures to ensure daily balances of amounts posted.
• Review and resolve all reported posting issues in a timely manner.
• Review credits, over payments, refunds and process timely.
• Run balance reports to verify accurate posting
• Close balanced batches on a daily basis
• Document transactions as appropriate to maintain necessary audit trail.
• Research and review documentation or Explanation of benefits from carriers using a variety of methods including phone calls, web portals and appropriate forms.

What do you need to have?

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical practice payment posting required
• Experience working with health plans required
• ICD-10 and CPT knowledge required
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Proven ability in insurance collections required
• Comprehensive understanding of claims denial required

*Note: Compensation may fluctuate slightly based on the candidate’s geographic location / cost of living index, etc.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 – $26.00 per hour
