In the front-end space we have our Global Experience Language (GEL) and Design System which is themed and used across multiple products.
This is an unique opportunity to be involved in a major technology transformation, working within a multi-functional team to oversee, problem-solve, and provide intuitive solutions to our product implementation project.

The Role

We are currently implementing a significant transformation project, evolving one of our market leading back office applications into Domain Driven Micro Services built in Java and Micro frontends built in React.
We are looking for React developer with proven commercial experience with ReactJs, UI testing (with Jest or Testing Library), Component Driven Design with Storybook and strong team skills with Agile and CI/CD best practice.
In this role, you would be responsible for:

• Contributing as part of an Agile team to gain solid understanding of business requirements and help formulate them in the form of Scenario
• Designing and developing screens, UI components in React
• Testing your UI components using Unit and Visual Regression tests and documenting them on Storybook
• Developing tests to verify and testing correct implementation
• Working closely with architects, technical leads, UX managers, product owners and analysts across distributed Agile teams to find efficient solutions to business requirements
• Contributing to reusable UI Kit components (using React Bootstrap).

Desired Skills and Experience
We’d love to hear from you if you have the following:

• 5+ years’ industry Web Development Experience
• 3+ years’ industry experience with React
• Mastery of ReactJS state management – with either Flux, Redux, Hooks or Recoil
• Strong knowledge with ES2015 and different flavours of JavaScript
• Strong knowledge with SASS & CSS3
• Experience consuming and contributing to UI Kits – preferable React Bootstrap or Material-UI
• Experience with Webpack, babel, linting and frontend build tools and processes
• Experience with Unit, Integration and Visual Regression Testing with Jest and/or Testing Library (or Enzyme),
• Experience with version control with Git, continuous integration, and deployment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and communication skills.

Experience with the below is not required but highly desirable:

• Consuming REST services with React Hooks
• Knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, JPA, Spring Data, SQL
• Exposure to Database technologies like MSSQL
• Exposure to Test-Driven Development and Behaviour-Driven Development
• Familiarity with Docker and Containerised Deployment
• Working with distributed teams and
• Knowledge of wealth management products and industry.
