LABOURER

GCS General Contracting Services has immediate openings for labourers for telecom installation work in the Edmonton area – willing to train the right candidates.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Labourer scopes;
• Installation of fibre optic conduit;
• Shoveling and digging;
• Backfilling;
• Participate in site safety including pre-job orientations, tailgate meetings, ensure all safety paperwork is accurate and complete;
• Other drilling / labour tasks as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 1 – 2 years prior construction labour experience an asset;
• Hard working
• Safety conscious
• Physically fit and capable of lifting +50lbs;
• Strong work ethic;
• Ability to work in a fast- paced environment with tight deadlines and repetitive tasks.

CERTIFICATIONS:

• CSTS 2020 (required)
• Ground Disturbance Level 2 would be an asset
