Job Family: Data Analysis
Develops, inspects, mines, transforms, and models data to raise productivity, improve decision making, and gain competitive advantage. Conducts statistical analysis on data and information to ensure correct predictive forecasting or classification. Manages all aspects of end-to-end data processing utilizing customized report building functions of systems. Maintains analytical systems, verifies the accuracy of the data, and acts as liaison with business.
Responsibilities:
Extract qualitative and quantitative relationships (i.e., patterns, trends) from large amounts of data using SAS, R, Python, Tableau or other tools
Utilize advanced techniques to mine data identify aberrant behaviors or patterns
Research and apply policy and/or regulatory guidelines on Medicare, Medicaid and healthcare to evaluate and classify billing patterns
Gather and organize information for use in supporting decision-making process
Collect, manipulate, analyze, evaluate, and display data using visualization tools
Perform data analysis and create data summaries using descriptive statistics
Implement open-ended data merges, data analysis plans, and perform complex data manipulation and reporting tasks
Develop, write, and present detailed technical solutions to solve open-ended business problems to technical and non-technical audiences
Lead teams of statisticians, programmers, clinicians on complex projects and deliver solutions
Required Qualifications
BA or equivalent + 10 yrs related experience, or MA + 8 yrs related experience
Superior skills conducting statistical and mathematical modeling/analysis/data reports using SAS, R, Python, Tableau or similar
Experience leading teams and developing innovative solutions
Superior skills using SQL for modeling and data manipulation purposes
Experience matching and merging disparate data sets using string/edit distance algorithms
Experience using statistical algorithms, techniques and/or models to define data for data integrity and process analytics
Experience using multiple data mining or display tools including SAS, SPSS Modeler, R, Weka, Tableau, etc.
Experience using, manipulating, and presenting data using MS Excel & PowerPoint

Experience supporting data governance policies and supporting infrastructures spanning diverse stakeholders
Superior multi-tasking and organization skills. Must manage multiple simultaneous projects and prioritize assignments and tasks accordingly, remaining flexible to changing priorities and new initiatives
Superior written and verbal skills. Must write succinctly and clearly and explain complex situations in plain English to technical and non-technical audiences
Experience developing and presenting solutions to complex, open-ended problems
Experience proactively identifying and working collaboratively with stakeholders to resolve data anomalies, data quality, and compliance issues in administrative data
Superior customer service skills working proactively and collaboratively with Federal research, compliance, and policy staff and stakeholders to implement and enhance internal and external management reports and public-facing data analysis tools and data sets
Experience conducting trade studies and implementing business intelligence tools/solutions in collaboration with Federal customers and stakeholders
Knowledge of business intelligence, ETL, data analytics, and data warehouse COTS solution space
Experience using data visualization tools such as including Tableau
Experience conducting health care related research and analytics
