GDIT’s Contracts and Acquisition Management Office (CAMO) is seeking an experienced contracts professional with advanced understanding of Federal and commercial contracting practices to join its Contracts Compliance organization. This role will be responsible for the analysis and evaluation of contracting matters, and the initiation, development, and recommendation of contracting policies, procedures, guidance, and controls to ensure that GDIT’s contract management practices are compliant with applicable Federal and commercial laws and regulations.
Roles and Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:
Initiates, develops, and recommends contracting policies and procedures for the guidance of the CAMO workforce.
Monitor and provide input on regulatory changes in the Federal, State, and Commercial contracting environment, and provide direction to the CAMO workforce, as necessary.
Analyze regulations, policies, audit findings, and other material for applicability to CAMO’s operational requirements and existing contracting practices.
Manage and execute various Government reporting requirements.
Support projects for GDIT’s Government Compliance and Internal Controls teams.
Develop and maintain constructive relationships with GDIT regulators, industry associations and peer companies.
Participates in and leads special projects, as required, in order to improve CAMO’s responsiveness to customer requirements, ensure business responsibilities are met, and assure consistent interpretation and implementation of contracting policy throughout the enterprise.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree
5+ years of related contracts management experience

Preferred
Master’s Degree
Professional certification (e. g., CPCM/CFCM)
Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of contracting laws, policies, and industry practices sufficient to provide guidance to the CAMO workforce
Analytical skill sufficient to evaluate audit reports, regulations, and other relevant material as a basis for developing and implementing CAMO guidance.
Skill in oral communications sufficient to present recommendations to higher authority, to obtain compliance with policies from the CAMO workforce, and to represent CAMO on company-wide committees.
Skill in written communication sufficient to develop and publish CAMO policies and procedures.
Experience leading multiple complex projects simultaneously.
Ability to analyze and summarize complex data.
Self-starter who will take the initiative to analyze existing processes and provide innovative streamlined approaches.
Problem solver who will thoroughly research an issue and develop a detailed solution.
Strategic thinker and trusted advisor to CAMO and company leadership.
Fosters and maintains internal customer intimacy.
