As a Solutions Architect on the GDIT Federal Civil Division State and Local Health team for a state Medicaid program which will be publicly awarded end of October 2022, you will be supporting a program that will have progressive growth and expansion of services as it is a multi-year program. The program will engage with state customer, subcontracting vendors and many stakeholder entities. The selected candidate will work with a team who has extensive Medicaid, healthcare, and project experience with multiple states.
Primary Responsibilities
Understands proposed solutions based on business and technical criteria, analyzes alternatives based on trade space, and implements designs
Researches current and emerging technologies and process methodologies and proposes changes and tailoring where needed
Assesses the system and business process architectures currently in place and works with staff to recommend improvements
Works with technical teams (internal, subcontractor, customer and other customer vendors) to deliver efficient and effective system solutions to support business goals and objectives
Performs continual monitoring and maintenance for technical systems once operational including security, backup, and redundancy problems
Provides critical insight and guidance for the preparation and maintenance of all documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projects
Develops, enhances, and maintains established service design procedure and process by applying process frameworks and methodologies
Drives scalability and operability of supported systems/infrastructure
Invents innovative ways to drive production operational efficiency
Prepares and presents deliverables, technical presentations, and leadership and governance board briefings
Provides updates to stakeholders on project cost, schedule, and quality in comparison to stakeholder objectives
May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals
May serve as a team or task lead with future management potential
Recognized as a Subject Matter Expert in solutions architecture
What you’ll need to succeed:
Education: BA/BS or equivalent in a technical discipline
Required Experience: 15+ years
Required Skills and Abilities: Strong written and verbal communication skills, vendor relationship management
Preferred Skills: Medicaid implementation and/or operational experience, healthcare payer systems experience, technical documentation, user experience-based design
