GDIT is seeking a Web Applications Developer III. The Web Applications Developer III researches, designs, develops, tests, and/or modifies enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software.

HOW THE WEB APPLICATIONS DEVELOPER III WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

• Analyzes business or scientific problems for resolution through electronic data processing, gathers information from users, defines work problems, and, if feasible, designs a system of computer programs and procedures to resolve the problems.

• Develops complete specifications or enables other Computer Programmers to prepare required programs and analyzes subject-matter operations to be automated.

• Specifies number and types of records, files, and documents to be used and outputs to be produced.

• Prepares work diagrams and data flow charts; coordinates tests of the system and participates in trial runs of new and revised systems.

• Recommends computer equipment changes to obtain more effective operations and develop the computer programs.

• Independently evaluate, select, adapt, and modify standard techniques, requirements, criteria in order to plan and conduct engineering assignment.

• Plans, schedules, conducts, or coordinates detailed phases of engineering work through the selection and adaptation or modification of techniques, procedures, and criteria.

• Analyzes complex features of the work and applies principles and practices of the discipline or devises new approaches in problem solving.

• Thoroughly reviews all results from assigned tasks and determines if outputs are complete, correct, integrated with project objectives, and adequately documented.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• A Bachelor’s degree

• At least 5 years relevant hands-on technical experience

• Experience with Java, JavaScript, Spring and Struts/AJAX framework for Java application development, Eclipse Integrated Development Environment (IDE), WebInspect security scanning tools, JBOSS Enterprise Application Platform (EAP), HTML, Perl, Microservices, Informix Database and PHP.

• Ability to mentor other junior/team members.

SECURITY CLEARANCE:

• US citizen; must be able to secure a Public Trust clearance.

• Remote.
