Job Description Summary

This role provides Finance support to the Projects group regarding the procurement, installation, Testing & Commissioning of Wind Turbines in ANZ Region (Australia and New Zealand). You will build strong liaison with and support the Projects team in all financial matters, lead and partner with the finance teams working across regions, Systems & Controllership to ensure business processes and their financial footprint are well connected to drive business growth and profitability.

You will be responsible for preparation of short-term and long-term budgets, driving business performance, driving operational and technical accounting compliance, financial and operational internal controls, process simplification, deliver accurate actual financial reporting and analysis and manage various audits.

We are looking for a dynamic candidate with strong core financial, controllership & ERP skills and the ability to partner with senior leaders and regional stakeholder to drive Financial Performance & Operational Excellence. The position will report to APAC Finance Leader – Projects.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

• Ensure strong partnership with business leadership team to drive focus on key KPIs listed in bowlers and meeting financial targets
• Early identification of risks and opportunities and work with leadership / project teams for necessary mitigation
• Responsible for weekly pacing, financial planning, estimation & monthly closing cycles
• Work closely with operations, HR, finance teams to prepare estimates
• Ensure complete knowledge of financial movements relating to billing, revenue, margin, and cash. Ensure that such information is consistent, approved and reconciled in the ERP systems.
• Responsible for holding de-brief meetings with all the process stakeholders and identify process improvement areas as well as any corrective actions for closing and reporting.
• Drive productivity, simplification and digitization
• Ensure FX hedging for entire portfolio in compliance with hedging policy
• Support businesses from a financial perspective ensuring financial stewardship and Controllership
• Comply with local and US GAAP reporting requirements as well as internal GE policies and procedures
• Ensure revenue recognition is in line with GE GAAP as per ASC 606 guidelines.
• Drive Cost productivity… unallocated cost utilization
• Develop and validate revenue recognition assumptions
• Timely billings and collection / efficiency
• Monitor and maintain policy compliance
• Tax / FP&A (Finance Planning & Analysis) engagement to ensure transfer pricing executed per Policy
• Optimise and clarify requirements for meeting Revenue Recognition targets
• Collaborate with project managers and site managers in the execution and control of budgets
• Perform detailed financial analyses in response to emerging issues
• Manage and maintain bank guarantees
• Support subcontract tendering, due diligence and negotiation to support Projects operations.
• Provide feedback to the Commercial team resulting in decreased risk for future contracts.

Qualifications & Requirements

• A CPA or CPA equivalent is considered necessary with minimum 5 years finance experience.
• Experience in the power or construction industry in project controlling role will be preferred; or Minimum of 5 years of experience in a finance position (or GE FMP (Financial Management Program) or CAS (Corporate Audit Staff) Graduate).
• Good Knowledge of Races ERP (Preferred)
• Business understanding of Projects (Preferred)
• Experience working within an international corporate and high paced environment and extensive knowledge of, and experience with, power industry supply, EPC construction, and/or services contracts environment is essential.
• Fluent in English with effective written and oral communication skills
• Strong presentation and negotiation skills and be able to manage multiple complex issues concurrently
• flexible with a can-do attitude and willing and able to work with several high paced individuals
• Attention to detail and to comply with corporate compliance requirements is a must.

Desired Characteristics

• OEM or Developer experience in power industry, or;
• Experience in construction or asset management
