The Packaging Engineer (Coordinator) will be part of the designing, testing, and implementing packaging designs that are an integral part of the Propulsion Development processes for new Production Process. The Packaging Engineer (Coordinator) also review and improve existing packaging designs.

The Packaging Engineer (Coordinator) roll provides a great opportunity to lead and be part of all aspects of the Global Supply Chain business. You will work toimprovesafety culture, empower and support people, createpartnerships,and lead allthe packaging aspects to our Assembly Plant, OEMS and CCA Teams.This includes all packaging aspects of OEM supplied parts; including labelling. Time management, working independently, and organizational skills are a must to focus on and prioritize how to get great results the right way. Good interpersonal skills are critical when working with different members of the team across the Plant and the Corporation on projects, and ultimately cascading down to the Floor Team. As the Packaging Engineer (Coordinator), you are representing the department you are working in at all levels of the organization. Such a rolecan be very rewarding.

You will:

• Be part of the packaging development process, which may include the creation of packaging designs, prototype development, and performance testing
• Fixes new and existing packaging problems involving designs, materials, processes and provides creative, timely, and cost-effective solutions
• Handles multiple projects simultaneously
• Analyze and determine container flow
• Analyze and issue SMART numbers to Suppliers for non-returnable dunnage
• Support Customer Care and Aftersales packaging requirements
• Support BoSE (Bill of Sediment Excellence)
• Maintain packaging information and update as required
• Element Owner for Global Manufacturing Systems (3 Elements) – Packaging
• Be part of the Lean Manufacturing System for packaging changes (ie. re-packing)
• Analyze and resolve any container flow discrepancies

REQUIREMENTS:

• University Degree or equivalent
• All Required Safety Training under GWSS
• All required Global Manufacturing System (GMS) Training
• Problem Solving/Continuous Improvement
• Previous plant floor experience in Packaging, Global Supply Chain, or Engineering
• Experience in plant floor systems
• Strong communication skills
• Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) – high use of Excel
• 3-5 years working in packaging or related field
