The UltraCruise Data Engine Team is developing and operating an efficient Data Engineering Platform for autonomous driving development. From large scale Vehicle Sensor Data Ingestion we produce the insights and datasets required to deliver the next generation of mobility at General Motors.

We’re looking to hirea Vehicle Data Validator to support our mission of training autonomous vehicles on highly accurate data. This role is largely non-technical, with the ideal candidate possessing an exceptional attention to detail.

You will:

• Validate annotations on images to enhance the vehicle’s perception capabilities, provide specs for a vendor and perform testing on the results
• Annotate objects like vehicles and lanes on images and other sensors
• Maintain an updated specification for the annotation scheme
• Assist and give feedback to external manual annotation companies
• Work closely with internal teams to understand requirements for labelled data
• Suggest methods for improving work efficiency

We’re looking for someone who has:

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and within a growing team
• Willing to learn new tools or programs as project needs evolve and workflows change
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Google Documents and Google Sheets
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, good interpersonal skills, and a team player
• Good interpersonal skills for leveraging internal and external annotations requirements
