Your success as a Graduate Software Engineer will come from creating and delivering software solutions for utility companies. You’ll be immersed in the full software development life cycle including specification, design, build, testing, documentation and operational support. You’ll work collaboratively within a team. You’ll get to own pieces of the team’s commitment and demonstrate that you can work independently. We’re looking for people who are quick learners and want to learn how to craft well-engineered solutions. In this role you can expect to: *

• Actively contribute within a self organising, cross functional team
• Learn and provide programming expertise for our bespoke Velocity product
• Liaise with customers to understand & analyse their requirements and develop appropriate solutions
• Work with a variety of stakeholders including development teams, Product Owners and Managers, customers and Engineering Leads
• Take time for personal training and development

What you need to be successful:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A good understanding of all aspects of the software development life cycle
• Some exposure to software testing (e.g. unit tests, integration tests, acceptance tests)
• Flexibility to shift focus to where the need is greatest
• Be open to accepting constructive feedback and have the resilience to keep learning and developing your software engineering practice
