The Opportunity
The global R&D organisation are currently hiring a Head of Development Engineering. The role of the Head Development is to partner with the CTO and lead the regional Development engineering teams in the Southern Hemisphere. You are a people person, a technology leader, comfortable with managing software development lifecycle – from “nothing” to Production~ coaching teams, controlling, leading and reporting on progress, and developing a clear understanding of the business’ bigger picture. As a result, your teams produce top-notch software releases. You play a pivotal role in inspiring and motivating everyone in the Core R&D group to be the best they can be.
The Specifics
Reporting into the CTO, you will be responsible for diagnosing and creating in partnership with the team the program of change programs relating to systems and process improvements. The role is an end-to-end role, – we are a hands-on team, and a team player attitude as well as technical excellence will see you succeed.
Whilst no day is the same, we would expect you to provide expertise in the following~
What we’re looking for (you don’t need to be a guru at all, we’re looking forward to coaching and collaborating with you)~
You have multiple years of experience in a Development Delivery role, driving change and learning through multiple release cycles in agile and complex environment. Experience of at least one of the following areas~ Salesforce Industries software, Enterprise App solutions deployed in a SAAS environment and/or experience in the Utilities industry.
Furthermore, you will ideally meet the below criteria to be successful in this role~
