We are currently seeking an Assistant Packer reporting to our Despatch Supervisors at Otahuhu. This is a full time, permanent position on day shift.

The hours of work are: 6:30 am to 4:00 pm on a Thursdays to Mondays roster (Day off: Tuesdays and Wednesdays).

Due to the nature of our business, weekend and public holiday work is essential.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Daily operation of machinery and equipment
• Loading and unloading crates of production from trucks or packing machine
• Accurately stacking and packing products for our different distribution routes
• Daily cleaning and general housekeeping of your work area
• Actively participating in team meetings
• Escalating any product issues or delivery issues to your Team Leader and/or Supervisor.

• Champion safety and food quality
• Demonstrate your great communication skills (both written and oral)
• Be physically fit with the ability to lift 20 kgs repetitively
• Demonstrate strong work ethic
• Ability to direct clear work instructions and coach others
• Have prior experience in a food handling role
• Be passionate about food
• Be a motivated team player
• Be willing to learn and apply new skills
