Role Overview: Front-End Developer with a Vision

We are currently seeking a talented and versatile developer to play a pivotal role in our team at Get It LLC. This role goes beyond traditional development and places a strong emphasis on front-end work, as well as a deep understanding of our unique “layer-cake top-down” development approach. Our developers are not just coders; they are visionaries who truly comprehend the product’s vision. In this role, you will have regular conversations with management to ensure that you fully grasp the requirements of each feature, ask relevant questions, and bring them to life. As the bridge between concept and reality, you will collaborate closely with product management and engineering teams to expand and enhance our services-based architecture. You will be responsible for creating user flows, process flows, and architectural diagrams to convey interaction and development ideas, while also advocating for and defending your designs and deliverables to peers and executive stakeholders.

Technical Expertise Required

To excel in this role, you should be proficient in the following:

• Languages: Golang, Python, Django, Kafka, Vue
• Storage Engines: Vespa, Postgres, Bigquery
• Hosted Services: GCP (Google Cloud Platform)
• Concepts: RESTful APIs, gRPC, Kubernetes, Git, GitOps, Protobuf, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML)

Role Expectations

• Occasional travel to Washington DC, our home base
• Ability to manage time effectively in a remote work setting to meet deliverables and due dates
• Excellent communication skills, including active participation in video calls with stakeholders
• Strong documentation skills, including the creation of visual aids and comprehensive architectural diagrams
