What You’ll Do
As a Digital Front End Developer within our marketing team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the user interface of our website, Searchspring.com. Your focus will be on creating and delivering a seamless user experience by translating wireframes and mock-ups into reusable code. Responsibilities include building high-quality UI components with scalability in mind, implementing new features on our WordPress website, integrating plugins, and performing routine maintenance and performance optimizations. The success of this position will be measured through key metrics such as site load time, time on site, and the enhancement of owned channel performance.
This role reports directly to the Director of Growth Marketing.
How You Will Succeed
Collaborate with key stakeholders in the Marketing team to iterate on new features and enhancements for Searchspring.com.
Enhance the overall website experience by optimizing the quality of Frontend features.
Identify areas for improvement in the code base to enhance speed and streamline processes.
Plan sprints and address prioritized issues from the issue tracker.
Develop web applications following best practices in web development.
Transform app designs into frontend code using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Refine specifications and requirements based on technical and UX design considerations.
Debug errors, troubleshoot issues, and conduct routine performance optimizations.
Ensure Searchspring.com is optimized for search engine performance (SEO).
Write high-quality, scalable, and reusable code.
Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends.

What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience developing modern, responsive, and cross-browser-compatible websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Expert knowledge of HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript with a basic understanding of UI/UX design.
Experience with responsive design and best practices.
Knowledge of current web accessibility standards and requirements.
Understanding of information architecture, interaction design, and user-centered design.
Strong knowledge in core web and browser concepts.
Working knowledge of SEO principles.
Basic proficiency with Photoshop and web design.
Experience with performance and optimization problems.
Experience using design software for collaboration (e.g., Figma, Sketch).
Prefer understanding of marketing concepts such as conversion, analytics, A/B testing, lead generation, buyer journeys, and search engine optimization.
Experience with WordPress and Hubspot.
