Job Summary

As a Full Stack Software Developer, you will play a key role in designing and implementing business systems, collaborating closely with stakeholders to enhance our app portfolio. Your responsibilities will include working on the frontend, translating business specifications into efficient web applications, and maintaining a professional decorum while mentoring junior team members. You’ll actively contribute to the team’s energy and growth, identifying and addressing lapses in feature coverage and staying updated on modern Rails patterns.

Responsibilities and Duties

Collaborate directly with stakeholders to implement improvements for the organization’s app portfolio.

Demonstrate a strong frontend orientation, including expertise in templating, style, and interactive scripting skills.

Translate business specifications into fast, maintainable, and exception-resilient web applications.

Estimate, prioritize, plan, and execute work within a Jira workflow.

Identify, record, and document bugs, maintaining a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Mentor junior team members, exhibiting professional demeanor and positive contributions to the team’s energy.

Proactively build features with test coverage and address lapses in existing feature coverage.

Stay informed about modern Rails patterns (and anti-patterns) through periodic audits.

Pursue technical self-development and share acquired knowledge within the team.

Qualifications And Skills

Proven experience in Ruby on Rails development and software development.

Proficiency in additional languages, including Javascript.

Experience in writing automated specs, with RSpec BDD experience.

Engagement in open source activities is highly valued.

Familiarity with performance and/or security testing is a plus.

Positive attitude and a growth mindset.

BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject, or equivalent relevant experience.
