Apprentice Responsibilities
As an apprentice, you’ll be at the heart of our dynamic work-study program. Your responsibilities will include:
Analyzing project data to establish specifications and requirements
Collaborating with information technology experts on software projects
Allocating tasks and schedules to team members
Coordinating with others to shape design specifications
Communicating project updates effectively
Providing technical support for software maintenance and usage
Applying algorithms and design patterns to solve software challenges
Designing innovative software applications
Evaluating database performance
Troubleshooting data processing issues
Preparing data for insightful analysis
Enhancing software performance through modifications
Developing performance metrics in the IT domain
Crafting and implementing testing procedures
Documenting technical requirements precisely
Orchestrating seamless software and hardware installations
Identifying resource needs for IT projects
Monitoring computer system performance for optimal operation
Offering valuable recommendations on computer hardware
Guiding others in the use of computer equipment
Qualifications
To be eligible, you should meet these essential criteria:
Able to work {{on-site within the employer’s Location, remote, or hybrid}}
Minimum age requirement of 18, with U.S. citizenship or work authorization
Availability for 12 months of intensive Apprenticeship training
Strong proficiency in spoken and written English (CEFR B2 level, IELTS 6.5, or TOEFL 80)
{{Education- Employer specific}}: High school diploma, vocational certificate, or equivalent
{{Equipment-Employer Specific}}: Access to a computer (PC or Mac), headphones, webcam, and reliable internet
Minimum 8 GB RAM and 100 GB storage on your computer
Administrator rights on your computer for software installation
Technical Prerequisites
You’ll need:
Basic computer literacy (high-school degree level)
Some Familiarity With IT Concepts, Including
Fundamentals of computer hardware
Basics of HTML/CSS
Introduction to Python (IDE, Git, ETL, OOP, MVC, basic algorithms)
OR
You can validate these skills by completing a bootcamp, certification program, or the following courses:
Exploring the World Wide Web
Mastering the Command Line
Setting Up a Python Environment
