Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Creating new websites in Drupal 10+ by programming, testing, debugging, documenting, and implementing themes and modules.
Researching and implementing new features.
Maintaining and enhancing the existing Drupal code, database, and server interactions, addressing bugs as needed.
Updating and improving code (PHP/twig, CSS) for existing custom modules.
Researching innovative web solutions based on the business needs of Arts & Sciences, emerging trends, and best practices.
Providing support to website content creators in Arts & Sciences.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in developing for Drupal.
Familiarity with standard practices related to the application development lifecycle.
Exposure to ctools plugin API, Drupal templates, theming, twig, and yml.
Experience in developing for mobile platforms, such as iOS and Android.
Knowledge of AWS, Linux/Apache, MacOS, and Windows.
Experience in developing and testing for WCAG 2.0 AA web accessibility.
Prior experience in a higher education technology environment.
Experience in integrating with web APIs like REST and SOAP.
Experience working in an Agile team.
Contributions to open-source projects.
A growth mindset.
Strong understanding of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Proficiency in coding with PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Experience with AWS, Linux/Apache, MacOS, and Windows.
Demonstrated commitment to web standards and professionalism.
Strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work effectively with team members.
Capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently.
Familiarity with business applications (email, calendar, spreadsheets, etc.).
A strong desire to continuously develop technical knowledge and professional skills.
Required Qualifications
An undergraduate degree in a related field or three years of experience in a web development role.
Strong understanding of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
Experience in programming with PHP or a similar Object-Oriented server-side language.
Proficiency with WordPress, Linux/Apache, MacOS.
Experience using a version control system like Git or SVN.
Grade: G11
Salary Range: $52,000.00 – $88,800.00 annually
The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one’s qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade, and department budget.
Pre-Employment Screening
