Position Overview
Join our diverse and talented team with a focus on web-centric technologies such as JS, TypeScript, React, CSS, and Flutter. As a Web and Flutter Engineer, you’ll contribute to the development of our open-source React toolkit, the Vanilla Framework, ensuring consistency across our enterprise products and sites. You’ll have the opportunity to work on both front-end and back-end code, demonstrating technical leadership, exceptional design, and a commitment to intuitive user experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Write high-quality, well-designed software.
Collaborate proactively with a globally distributed team.
Display technical leadership internally and within external communities.
Debug issues and produce high-quality code to address them.
Contribute to technical documentation to enhance its quality.
Discuss ideas and collaborate on finding effective solutions.
Work from home with global travel twice annually for company events.
What We’re Looking For
Exceptional academic track record (high school and university).
Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or STEM, or a compelling narrative about an alternative path.
Drive and a track record of exceeding expectations.
Well-organized, self-starting, and able to deliver to schedule.
Professional manner when interacting with colleagues, partners, and the community.
Knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, and JS).
Fluency in Typescript, React, or Flutter.
Strong attention to accessibility and performance.
Professional written and spoken English.
Experience With Linux (Debian Or Ubuntu Preferred).
Additional Skills That Are a Plus:
Experience with container tech such as LXD, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Curiosity about all aspects of web development.
Attention to detail in user-centric UI development.
Experience with systems programming or scalable web services.
REST API design, development, and governance.
Performance engineering and security experience.
