Key Functions during implementation:
Participate and assist various Finance stream leads with the implementation of the Workday ERP system which may include gathering of user requirements, design, configure, test and implementation. Specific duties may include:
Assist with mapping of current state and the design of future state processes
Data mapping, clean up, and upload into the ERP system
Configuration of the ERP system to align with design expectations
Participation in UAT testing which may include the design of UAT tests
Participation in training deliveries and change management as needed
Other ad-hoc duties project duties as needed
Key Functions post implementation:
The ERP Administrator is responsible for ensuring the reliable ongoing performance of the ERP system which may include:
Troubleshooting and resolving any ERP related issues and serve as the primary contact for all users within Finance
Assist with monitoring of system performance and usage to maintain security and reliability. This may include running of reports for validations and checks as defined by Finance teams for system governance
Assist with co-ordination of new patch releases, fixes, upgrades with technical teams and users
Recommends new features or changes to configuration/workflows based on user feedback
Provides guidance and training to Finance team members as related to the Workday ERP financial system which may include ongoing maintenance and updates of relevant training materials and training delivery
Maintain and update system configurations which includes system mappings, lists, data, user roles and accesses as required following prescribed governance processes
Monitoring of ongoing system integrations from source systems to ERP which may include ensuring data flows and validations are performed and assisting IT teams with issue diagnosis and resolutions
Administer issue tracking, change requests, and assist with auditor requests as related to ERP system
Participate in ERP system roll outs as part of potential business acquisitions or divestitures
Serve as overall system expert for Finance teams as related to Workday and coordinate efforts with IT and HR in overall Workday system maintenance
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
1-3 years of work experience required, preferably with Workday ERP Administrator experience
Must have relevant education in Business/Finance or IT
Ability to work with complex systems and a strong understanding of system processes and configurations
Sharp problem-solving skills and eager to solve issues
Must be able to manage efficiently in a high-pressure environment
Have attention to detail, and ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work in a team and with colleagues across different departments
Experience with Workday ERP an asset
Flexibility to work additional hours as dictated by business needs
