The Central Interceptor is a wastewater tunnel that will run between the Mangere Wastewater Treatment Plant and Grey Lynn. The 14.7-kilometre-long tunnel will run between 15 and 110 metres below ground. It will cross the Manukau Harbour at about 15 metres under the seabed. Along the route, it will connect to the existing wastewater network, which will divert flows and overflows into the tunnel.

What you will be doing:

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide the Construction team with administrative assistance and coordination to support the efficient operations of the construction sites on the Central Interceptor Project.

Key Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities include but may not be limited to the following

• Site visits – once or twice to stay on top of admin tasks across sites, including maintaining and update site registers
• Helping the Office Manager with office and site events
• Order and maintain stationery supplies, kitchen stock, and other miscellaneous office items required for the main office and site offices
• Establish and maintain an efficient filing and archiving system in accordance with the projects procedures and quality control frameworks
• Prepare purchase order (PO) documentation and receipt the dockets with JDE
• Attend to general incoming queries, directing them to relevant staff members
• Other ad-hoc duties as required

The successful candidate will have:

• Current Class 1 Driver’s Licence
• Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role preferred
• Sound knowledge and experience working in the construction sector ideal
• Previous administration experience preferred
• Strong customer service experience

• Proficient in Outlook and Excel
• NCEA level 1
