The Sr. Commercial IT Capability Manager will play a key role in the delivery of technology and capabilities that power Gilead’s commercial operation, with a focus on HCP & Patient Omnichannel Marketing, Commercial Web Analytics, and other digital channels.
The Lead will be a an integral and highly visible member of the Commercial IT Omnichannel team, requiring engagement with Commercial stakeholders, partner with IT peers in strategic business partnering roles and will report to the Global Head of Omnichannel Commercial IT.
The role will be accountable for the integrated delivery of capabilities needed to enable our customer centric technology enabled transformation. This role will oversee a team spanning product roadmap & planning, requirements, design, development, and operations to ensure a standardized set of platforms and technologies are available, maintained and continuously improved upon that can be implemented in various geographies and therapeutic areas and support our global standardize model while enabling empowerment of local business teams.
Specific Responsibilities and Skills
Assume IT “pull through responsibility” through the full life cycle (Pre-project to Sustain) of multiple critical IT projects
Perform a range of business analysis related disciplines – spanning business case definition, workshop facilitation, detailed requirements elicitation (functional and technical), backlog management, test case definition, test execution, and training
Support the IT Business Engagement Lead in strategic IT planning and portfolio management activities
Independently engage a diverse group of stakeholders across dispersed geographies and time-zones
Independently develop and maintain requisite project documentation to a high standard – in line with specified Kite / Gilead standard
Participate in design reviews and represent the ‘Voice of the Customer’ to ensure great Patient & Customer Experience
Support the development of mitigation plans for project risks, issues, and dependencies
Support the analysis of different technology solutions against a business requirement to define the technology ecosystem
Engage independently with end-users and business partners to ensure all projects meet business objectives
Support the procurement of 3rd party products and services (e.g. RFP) as needed
Support system and user acceptance testing
Complete value-affirmation activities with business stakeholders and identify areas for continual improvement
Leverage and embed business analysis best practices in all aspects of work
Basic Qualifications:
12+ years’ relevant experience with High School Diploma or equivalent
10+ years’ relevant experience with AA
8+ years’ relevant experience with BS / BA
6+ years’ relevant experience with MS / MA / MBA
Preferred Qualifications:
Experienced Senior IT Business Analyst with a proven track record of delivering complex, cross-functional programs, delivering technology to support Marketing Campaigns, or launch of Commercial products.
Significant knowledge and understanding of the Commercial business and related functions in the Biotech industry: Marketing, Patient Services, CRM, Data & Analytics, etc.
Strong analytical, communication, time-management, facilitation, presentation, influencing, and project management skills.
Proven IT Business Analysis discipline and an extensive analytical toolkit
Experience with AWS, Azure, Sitecore, Web platforms, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Veeva
Experience and knowledge of end-to-end IT software development lifecycles; experience with agile methodologies is preferred.
Independent, self-motivated, proactive, and responsive with a bias for action and results
Ability to work with dispersed, global teams and locations.
Strong organization skills to manage large enterprise projects.
Outstanding communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills, and can collaborate at all levels.
Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities
Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences industry experience strongly desired

The salary range for this position is: $146,200.00 – $189,200.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans*.
