You Will: The Manager, Corporate Communications helps with the creation and execution of communications plans that support Girl Scouts of the USA’s (GSUSA) strategic business goals, including drafting and editing internal and external communications for key stakeholders and offering counsel to GSUSA and council colleagues on best practices for these types of strategic communications.

Creating and executing strategic communication plans—including writing documents, talking points, and key messages and creating presentations/slides (using MS PowerPoint)—to communicate and align updates on milestones and operations/tactics in conjunction with the Girl Scout mission, overall Movement goals, and project plans for strategic initiatives. This is done mainly through existing channels, webinars, and meetings for key stakeholders within Girl Scouts, such as leaders within the Girl Scout Movement (including board members and executives at councils), GSUSA staff, council staff, former national and local council board members, partners/funders, and volunteers.

Is proficient in principles of corporate and internal communications, especially across multiple and varied audiences, and exercises good judgment and expertise in creating and matching messaging and communications channels to effectively engage, influence, and inform these key audiences.
Required Technical Skills: Office 365 or similar suitesCompetency in PowerPoint or similar presentation softwareCompetency in Microsoft Excel or similar softwareYou Need: Minimum of five to seven years of corporate or internal communications experience working for a corporation, PR agency, or nonprofit, or the equivalent experience.
