Glaser Dermatology Hiring for Medical Biller/Collector at Massapequa, NY Full Time

Seeking part-time billing specialist for our dermatology group in Massapequa (www.GlaserDermatology.com). We use Medical Manager (Greenway) software.

Expected work schedule: 16 hours, 2 days per week (Fridays + one other day), with the potential to add more hours later.

During the initial training period, the work schedule may vary.

We strongly prefer candidates who are fully vaccinated for covid and can start employment asap.

Responsibilities for Medical Biller / Medical Billing Specialist

• handle phone inquiries about patient balances
• manage accounts receivables via Medical Manager billing software
• investigate claim denials
• verify / update insurance information with patients and payers
• lookup past claim information on insurance / clearinghouse portals
• prepare patient statements for mailing
• manage unpaid accounts via followup phone calls
• submit delinquent accounts to collections agency
• run credit card transactions
• collaborate with front desk staff, bookkeeper, other billers
• log results on excel spreadsheets and in Medical Manager

Skills for Medical Biller / Medical Billing Specialist
