GSK is on a transformation journey to become the global leader in bringing the best-in-class analytics and insights, to serve the consumer and patient. This strategy is far reaching and will extend to all corners of the business – from Big Data and applications of artificial intelligence in R&D to New Media in bringing to life consumer brands. We approach every challenge holistically, with best-in-class expertise in data, creativity, media, technology, giving us the power to build our brands and transform their business.
Further, GSK has recently adopted a new growth framework called the Repeatable Growth Model (RGM) intended to help the business focus on the levers that will drive repeatable growth through penetration. The framework highlights how meaningful and distinctive brands, alongside where to play choices, innovation, market execution, expert / influencer strategies, consumer understanding all work together to drive category growth.
At GSK, RGM and marketing capability equips marketers and the broader commercial team with the know-how, tools, and language to be able to do their jobs brilliantly. Capability has an outsized role to play in readying the Consumer Healthcare organization for spin, when we separate from GSK and become the world’s largest consumer healthcare company, competing with other FMCGs. The Program Director, Marketing Capability supports the global RGM and marketing capability goal to unlock transformational growth for people and our business through the lens of RGM, helping teams step up and deliver accelerated growth via break-through thinking and action.
The Program Director, Marketing Capability will play a pivotal role in identifying capability gaps across the business, and providing the skills, tools, technology to create, curate and deliver learning programs that meet learners’ needs, in the flow of work. Hence, they must understand the basic principles of learning theory and best practices, and what it means to build a learning culture focused on marketing effectiveness. The “RGM IQ” is designed to ensure that our teams have the capability to deliver the GSK Consumer Healthcare business vision and strategy.
