Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, purchasing a variety of items as required by Fab Shop, IT, Account Teams, and other internal resources. Position requires quick and efficient execution of purchases from suppliers, on-line retailers, and other sources. Duties include contacting suppliers via e-mail and phone to secure quotes, preparing accurate purchase orders, routing PO’s for approval, placing orders with suppliers, credit card purchases and following-up on order status. Communicating purchase status to GMR resources, providing documentation to A/P, working in multiple systems updating related purchase details, are also part of this position. Executing other purchasing related responsibilities as required and directed by Procure to Pay Manager and other GMR resources is also part of the position.
This role is a temporary role with the opportunity to become permanent.
YOUR IMPACT //
Procure a variety of items for GMR projects including but not limited to:
Fabrication materials
IT supplies – Electronic and Computer equipment and services
Subscriptions
Gift card purchasing
Online purchasing
Work with approved suppliers to obtain price quotes and product availability
Generate purchase orders and change orders, route for approval, and complete all related transactions throughout the lifecycle of the purchase
Utilize all GMR tracking systems appropriate for the particular purchase
Drive low-cost solutions based on total cost of ownership focusing on total value, no necessarily price
Work with agency accounting staff to resolve invoicing, purchasing and RMA issues
Collaborate with agency staff to execute solutions
Comply with all purchasing policies and procedures
Ability to negotiate price, schedule, and service attributes with suppliers and project teams
Stay current with the latest innovations in key GMR purchase categories and purchasing best practices
Develop a comprehensive plan for purchasing all assigned projects
Prioritize workload effectively
Route contracts for approval
Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned
Conduct yourself and your business in an ethical, appropriate manner at all times

Educational and Experience Requirements
Associate Degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience
