We are a medium sized, Ellerslie based, Auckland transport and 3PL provider. We require a flexible person to join our dispatch team. You must be honest and reliable and be prepared to take on a number of varied tasks as and when required.
This is a Monday to Friday role. Hours to be negotiated. Suggested hours are 9.30am to 6.30pm or similar.
Duties and responsibilities include:
-Co-ordinating and scheduling jobs.
-Assisting the dispatchers, drivers and providing administrative support.
-Customer service
-Entering job bookings
-General administrative tasks include Microsoft Office applications, processing orders in the TMS and WMS, answering phones, responding to emails, allocating jobs, rating, manifesting.
-Pricing and quoting of deliveries and entering job bookings
-Providing support in responding to driver and client enquiries both in person and telephone and radio telephone calls
-Assisting with the administration of compliance requirements.
This is a busy role and you must be prepared to be involved in all aspects of the businesses activities – a positive, can-do attitude is essential. Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as a helpful and friendly approach are required, as you will be dealing directly with clients, drivers and other operations staff. You will also need good computer skills and a good phone manner.
Experience in in the transport and logistics industry is preferred as well as knowledge of the Auckland area.
