Job Description

The Web Developer is responsible for planning, building and testing custom web applications. Must be able to efficiently work with Product Manager to translate business requirements to well designed and functional web applications. Must be able to take design, copy and marketing requirements and produce functional and professional looking html layouts. Position is responsible for implementing various web site user interface components through the use of JavaScript, Flash, CSS, html, ColdFusion, etc… This position must be competent and current with HTML, XHTML, CSS, XML, RSS, JavaScript, Ajax, J-Query, Flash and other interactive technologies.

Major Responsibilities

• Perform the front end development for our web initiatives utilizing the appropriate code languages to ensure usability
• Review client contracts, work orders and tickets in order to determine required applications and customizations for each project
• Complete all programming tasks while following company code standards
• Work with clients during web site content reviews while managing and completing requested updates
• Test all completed work to ensure proper and error free functionality
• Manage timelines in order to provide on time delivery for all work
• Ensures quality, feel, and usability of sites to meet or exceed the expectations of customers
• Adheres to and makes recommendations for department process methodologies, standards and industry best practices
• Partners with team members and/or management to identify, define and solve user-experience related issues
• Actively participates in collaborative project planning sessions
• Maintains current knowledge of industry trends and innovations

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years web development experience
• Must have full knowledge of web related technologies including: XHTML, CSS, XML, RSS, JavaScript, Ajax, and Flash Programming Skills
• Must have full knowledge of ASP.net programming language
• Expert HTML Coding and debugging
• Strong grasp CSS Coding and debugging
• HTML page creation from raw format design files
• Solid understanding of SQL and ability to write complex queries
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript
• Strong grasp of website layout and usability
• Set up, maintain, and update client web sites
• Solid organizational skills from a development perspective allowing clear pictures of code interactions and results
• Strong communication skills- fluent in English
