Top of the World Wine Steward The Strat (Las Vegas, NV)

Description:

Summary: Responsible for wine service and maintaining the wine inventory. Ensures guests receive excellent guest service and are provided with all options necessary. Ensures wine inventory is properly maintained by ordering additional bottles as needed.

Essential Functions:

• Performs wine service including opening and pouring wine, and providing recommendations for dinner guests.

• Responsible to restock the service bar and wine display cabinets.

• Organizes the daily wine order in cooler and wine room

• Ensures guests receive excellent guest service and all needs are met.

• Performs an end of day inventory to ensure the next day’s requisitions are requested.

• Ensures health, safety and sanitation standards are followed at all times

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Two years previous experience with fine dining wine service.

• Certified Sommelier preferred.

• Excellent written, verbal and group presentation communication skills

• Ability to effectively interact with individuals or small groups of people

• Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal

• Present a professional appearance

• At least 21 years of age

Physical Requirements

• Walk, stand, or stoop on a moving surface (more than 75% of the time)

• Vision, hearing, speech and literacy (critical)

• Frequently lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
