Good Start Packaging Hiring for Logistics Specialist at Remote Full Time

Good Start Packaging’s mission is to inspire people to reduce the 31 million tons of plastic that enters landfills each year. We supply compostable takeout food packaging to restaurants and other organizations throughout the U.S. We’re passionate about stellar client service and environmental sustainability.

We’ve grown revenue over 50% per year for the past three years and for 2022 are once again experiencing record growth. We have an immediate opening for a full-time Logistics Specialist in our Bedford, NH office. The position will support the Director of Supply Chain managing day to day order tracking and logistics needs. Employee will work closely with suppliers, carriers and warehouses, handling all aspects of inbound order management to promote strong execution of all inbound stock orders to positively impact client service levels.

Responsibilities:

• Track the status of all purchase orders, completing expedites and appointment requests to ensure all terms of purchase orders are fulfilled

• Responsible for all necessary order revisions and backorder creation tied to availability issues

• Process PO receipts and resolve all cuts, overages, and damages with suppliers

• Track all manufacturer supply issues, working closely with suppliers to secure updated availability dates as needed

• Support the sales team in the creation and tracking of special client orders and aid in the resolution of order issues as they arise

• Run various weekly reporting to support supply chain ordering functions and track overall inventory health

• Assist with inbound and outbound freight quoting and booking

• Cross train on all Supply Chain functions to support department absences

• Collaborate on various department projects to help drive efficiencies and growth

Pay: $45,000-$60,000 per year
