We currently are looking for a motivated Safety, Health, Environment & Quality (SHEQ) Coordinator to be part of the Goodman Fielder family based at our baking facility in Darwin.

Partnering with operations and logistics teams, you will drive the day to day health and safety systems within the facility. This role has a strong emphasis on coaching of key personnel and line managers in the implementation and continuous improvement of Safety, Health, Environment and Quality.

Key responsibilities:

• Host and manage external audits from customers or regulatory bodies and develop/lead the strategies for successful outcomes from these inspections.
• Manage the risk management/ food safety program on the production lines and within the site
• Oversee that Corrective and Preventive Actions are properly initiated wherever appropriate and make sure actions effectively correct/prevent future related issues
• Work with the site team to implement site Quality Plans to maintain and improve quality
• Foster quality thinking and adherence to all key quality parameters, GF standards and regulations throughout the site
• Maintain and evolve the site SH&E plan, ensuring Goodman Fielder safety and environment management systems are adhered to on site
• Drive our “Never Walk By” culture & implement standards which ensure a safe workplace for the prevention of injuries

To be Successful for this role:

• 2+ years proven experience in Quality and Safety Fields (FMCG industry desirable)
• Exposure to running quality audits in manufacturing
• Comprehensive understanding of Australian OH&S, State Workers Compensation
• Strong influencing and communication skills
• Strong logical, analytical and problem solving abilities
• Demonstrated experience in HACCP / BRC audits
