Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in software development.
- Experience in coding, algorithms, and data structures.
- Ability to speak and write in English fluently.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in Data Analysis and Insights.
- Experience with Data Collection and Operations.

In this role, you are responsible for sourcing, processing and serving transit and mobility data to provide Google users with high quality, up-to-date schedules and routing information for public transportation networks and general urban mobility services across the world.
Our data powers public transportation experiences on Google Maps, thus helping people get from A to B efficiently, safely, and sustainably.
The Geo team is focused on building the most accurate, comprehensive, and useful maps for our users, through products like Maps, Earth, Street View, Google Maps Platform, and more. Every month, more than a billion people rely on Maps services to explore the world and navigate their daily lives.
The Geo team also enables developers to use the power of Google Maps platforms to enhance their apps and websites. As they plot a course for the future of mapping, they are solving complex computer science problems, designing beautiful and intuitive product experiences, and improving our understanding of the real world.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, deploy and maintain data processing pipelines and features.
- Improve the stability and performance of existing pipelines.
- Develop systems to measure, detect and prevent issues with data quality and coverage.
- Work with the cross functional teams to understand their requirements and build the products to meet those requirements.
