As a member of the Cryptologic Technicians team you’ll be responsible for the implementation and support of relevant infrastructure items. This can include such things as the set up and maintenance of desktops, VTC’s, Phones, and multi-function devices for example.
Any of the following coursescertifications, or their equivalents, would be looked upon favourably:
Microsoft: Desktop Administrator
Comptia: A+, Network+
ITIL: Foundation
Or perhaps you have experience in a similar role, or feel you are ready to step up to a Level 1 Technician. We are also open to the fact that you might be a switched on, knowledgeable motivated person with a strong IT bent who wants to complete these courses!
Another key attribute is your sense of humour, ability to “go with the flow” and deal with left-field situations. You’ll be someone who is solution focused and with excellent interpersonal customer focused skills.

To be eligible for employment within the NZIC you must have been a NZ citizen for at least 10 years. Alternatively you must hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and ideally have been a citizen of UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years.
You must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Special (TSS) security clearance. Ordinarily to obtain this level of clearance candidates must have a 15 year checkable background in countries where meaningful and reliable checks can be undertaken. Where requisite checks are unable to be made, the candidate application may not be able to be progressed.
