The Opportunity
The Ministry is seeking an outstanding leader for the position of Executive Director in the Career Services Branch. Reporting to the Assistant Deputy Minister, this position has oversight for the strategic direction and management of the Ministry’s regional client services and contract activity. A wide range of activities are delivered by the branch or are purchased through contracts including: career counseling, employment services, skills training, and settlement support for youth and adults across the province. This position ensures that program investments and contracts align with strategic priorities, are responsive to community needs, and achieve meaningful results for employers and workers.
Critical to the success of the branch and its programs are working relationships with partners in the federal and provincial government, as well as training institutions, community-based organizations, and employer associations, among others. This position develops strategic relationships to ensure ongoing and productive engagement with all stakeholders in order to deliver effective and efficient labour market results.

Typically, the successful candidate will have obtained this knowledge through the completion of a degree in a related discipline combined with senior experience in Government. A combination of skills, training and experiences providing an equivalent background will be considered. This position can be located in Regina or in any one of our Career Services offices around the province.
