The Ministry of Social Services, Disability Programs, is seeking a professional, energetic and self-directed individual with excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills to be part of the division’s financial operations unit. This position has the potential to be head-quartered in Moose Jaw or Regina.

Reporting to the Manager of Financial Operations, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and supporting the financial components of the division’s program plan. The successful candidate’s primary responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

Creating and maintaining the financial plan for the division;

Providing leadership in the development, analysis and evaluation of the divisional budget, financial variance reports and forecasts; and

Analyzing trends and consulting with divisional management to gain an understanding of program area developments that have financial impact.

Typically, knowledge for this position is gained through the successful completion of undergraduate degree in Commerce or Business Administration with a focus on accounting and successful completion of a professional accounting designation (CPA). An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
