The Education Infrastructure Branch maximizes provincial investment in Pre-K to grade 12 education infrastructure, ensuring effective planning and supporting safe, secure and functional schools for Saskatchewan.
The Opportunity
The Education Infrastructure Branch has an exciting and rewarding two year term opportunity for a highly motivated, efficient and well-organized professional as Executive Coordinator with the Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement. In this challenging position, you will provide administrative and office management support to the Executive Director, as well as the management team of the branch.
The Ideal Candidate will Demonstrate:
Leadership and supervision of administrative staff and advice to other staff within the branch on government processes and standards.
Management and organization the office of the Executive Director including branch calendars, arranging travel, meetings, preparing agendas and ensuring appropriate background information is available for the meeting attendees.
Initiation of correspondence for the branch including preparation of monthly financial forecasts and processing and approving invoices for payment.
Knowledge of reviewing correspondence, contracts, Cabinet Decision and information items and Orders in Council to ensure content is appropriate/correct and is prepared in accordance with government standards.
To be successful in this role, you will be/have:
Well organized, methodical and attentive to detail to ensure tasks are prioritized and completed on time and excellent computer skills.
Strong problem solving and decision making skills are required to resolve issues on a daily basis.
Knowledge of government offices, boards of education and stakeholders will be an asset.
Typically, the knowledge and skills required for this position would be obtained through formal education and extensive experience in a senior administrative position.
