Public Prosecutions, Ministry of Justice has two administrative support permanent full-time career opportunities for the Regional Crown Prosecutors in the Regina and Saskatoon Regional Offices. These positions will be of interest to professionals who are interested in helping the Ministry of Justice provide a fair justice system that upholds the law and protects the rights of the individuals in Saskatchewan.
We are seeking a candidate who uses tact and diplomacy when responding to in-person and telephone inquires, and when providing guidance and direction to administrative staff, stakeholders and the public. As a highly skilled and well-organized individual, you will also manage the scheduling and case load management of the regional Crown Prosecutors. This includes an understanding of all prosecutors skill levels, the ability to monitor Court dates, diary dates and following up on requests from various levels of Courts. You will be required to make decision about court dates, prosecutor file assignments and availability.
You must be proficient and skilled in Word Processing and proofreading as you will be required to complete a vast amount of correspondanace throughout your day including letters, emails, public inquiries, stakeholder correspondence, police inquiries, etc. You will be required to type, format and proofread a variety of sensitive and confidential documents for ministerial correspondence, briefing material, reports, emails and presentations. You will be required to vet and edit on behalf of the Regiona Crown subject to final approval where directed.
The successful candidate must have an aptitude for the Criminal Justice system in Canada, an in depth knowledge of Public Prosecutions, superior organizational skills, an in depth understanding of information technology and that ability to quickly adapt to change. You must be able to exercise sound judgment when determining a course of action. We are seeking an individual who has knowledge of Government protocol, policies and procedures. You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with a diverse community of staff, collegues and members of the public.
