The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly-motivated, detail-oriented and responsible Human Resource Assistant to join one of our Human Resource Business Partner Teams.
As a Human Resource Assistant, you will:
provide administrative support including formatting correspondence, recording meeting minutes, generating reports, managing schedules, ordering supplies, processing invoices, handling mail, filing, and coordinating meetings/events and travel arrangements;
greet walk-in clients and handle telephone inquiries;
compile, evaluate and organize relevant information to respond to inquiries;
provide clear, concise and timely information in response to verbal and/or written inquiries from internal and external clients and stakeholders on human resource processes and procedures;
reference, understand and accurately apply relevant acts, regulations, policies and procedures;
have excellent computer skills in order to quickly and accurately prepare a variety of documents, reports and correspondence;
develop and maintain internal procedure manuals and tools;
plan, organize, prioritize and accurately complete multiple tasks while dealing with frequent interruptions and tight timelines;
work independently and as part of a team; and
be thorough, conscientious and attentive to detail to ensure quality work.
The Ideal Candidate
To qualify for this position, you will have knowledge of:
office management and administrative procedures and protocols including office filing procedures and systems;
computer applications such as word processing, spreadsheet software, database and operating systems; and
basic financial accounting principles and practices.
Typically, the knowledge required for this position is obtained through a formal education program such as an office education program and/or a combination of education and experience.

Hours of Work: A – SGEU Office 36 – one day off every two weeks
