The Saskatchewan Police Commission (Saskatchewan Police College), is seeking a strong and effective communicator to assist in the development and facilitation of professional training for police officers and law enforcement personnel utilizing adult learning principles.

As a Training Officer, you will function as part of a team to plan, manage and facilitate a wide range of courses to police officers that will develop their personal and professional knowledge, skills and attitudes consistent with the desired performance standards of a professional police officer.

In this position you will be responsible to act as a role model and supervise candidates undergoing training. You will also be responsible for reporting evaluation to the contributing police services from across the province, coordinating and organizing the delivery of training at a number of different facilities.

The successful candidate will have knowledge of relevant law including the Criminal Code, the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms and Provincial legislation and adult learning principles, problem-based learning as well as evidence-based policing.

Typically, the competencies required for this position would be obtained through graduation from a police academy in Canada, extensive experience in operational policing and supervision of police officers, supplemented with experience in training needs analysis, and the facilitation of training.

You will have the knowledge of:
