The opportunity
Get excited about this opportunity for an exceptional Business Development Manager to join our Sales team and work in a dynamic, fast-paced, results-driven, fun business! Your focus will be to create, manage and provide content within the Wellington region (based in Auckland office), facilitate growth from merchants, and proactively utilise administrative and reporting tools to ensure the vertical runs smoothly and efficiently on a day-to-day basis.
Responsibilities include:
Proactively source, promote and sell GrabOne advertising products and services as the first-choice advertising solution to merchants by diagnosing business needs, presenting and recommending ideas and solutions that are creative and innovative and reflect merchants’ business needs and requirements.
Strategically grow merchants/accounts and implement growth strategies.
Proactively support the GrabOne team in identifying and converting new revenue and cross-advertising opportunities
Pay attention to market trends, opportunities, and competitor activity for products relevant to assigned categories.
Review category results including, traffic, revenue, and conversion to ensure deals are appealing to the market, accurately represented, and leading the business toward growth.
Build strong relationships with merchants based on integrity, mutual respect, and delivering on common objectives.
Work collaboratively with team members and other key stakeholders in GrabOne and the wider Global Marketplace business to effectively grow the category portfolio.
The person
We are looking for someone who is as excited as we are, about invigorating the e-commerce economy in New Zealand improving the business of digital beauty retail. To be successful in this role you will need:
4+ years of previous success in fast-paced sales environment with proven growth, sustainability, and success.
2+ years of business development experience
Excellent negotiation skills.
Strong organisational and time management skills, with a result focus.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
Impressive communication skills.
Tech-savvy and able to use various IT and cloud-based tools.
Online advertising and/or media e-commerce sales experience would be highly desirable
