Graduate / Intermediate Tax Accountant Full Time

We are a small but rapidly growing accounting firm with offices in Aspley and the Sunshine Coast. We use our business advisory experience along with our tax and accounting skills to work with our clients to develop sound financials strategies focussed on helping them achieve their lifestyle goals. 

Our clients are SME business owners, individuals and investors who rely on their trusted adviser to guide them on their financial path.

Our Aspley office is located in a professional offices complex close to shops, cafes and a gym. 

As we build our Team you will be provided with the in-house and external training and resources you need to develop your own personal life strategies and achieve your career goals.

Duties & responsibilities:

• Preparation of company, individual, partnership and trust tax returns
• Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual BAS/IAS returns
• Preparation of financial statements in Xero
• Management accounting, AP, AR, Bank Reconciliations, and payroll
• Liaise with the ATO as required by clients
• Provide taxation advice in communications with clients
• Other general administrative tasks where required

Qualifications & experience:

• A degree in Business or Commerce with a major in Accounting in Australia
• Currently working towards obtaining either CA or CPA or willing to commence as soon as possible be an advantage.
• Experience with H&R Block, ITP or other practice would 
• Knowledge and experience working with XERO and MYOB are essential.
• Excellent attention to detail, self-initiative, and motivation
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with customers & clients
