We are looking to add a full-time, evening/night shift Guest Services Representative to our talented Guest Services team.

Summary:

The Guest Services Representative greets and assists patients, visitors, and other users of the hospital by directing and informing them of the location of hospital services, patient locations, etc. Ensures to provide this information whiles adhering to regulations that govern the hospital visitation policies/procedures and HIPPA.

Job Responsibilities

• Satisfactorily completes all required training, in-services, and certifications.
• Complies with hospital and departmental uniform dress code requirements by dressing neatly and professionally at all times.
• Holds all patient information confidential and maintains full HIPPA compliance.
• Maintains awareness of environmental surroundings at all times and addresses needs accordingly, appropriately, and timely (i.e. housekeeping, security, etc.).
• Provides customer service assistance for visitors with concerns/complaints by directing them to the appropriate department manager.
• Ensures customer sensitivity when dealing with ICU and/or OR patients, families, and visitors.
• Personally assists with hospital discharges and other wheelchair transports for outpatient clinic visits, etc. as deemed necessary.
• Maintains close contact with Guest Services Dispatchers to be readily available to provide patient related transport services (i.e. wheelchair).
• Identifies individuals who need assistance and/or directions, and assists them appropriately and in a timely manner.
• Summons the necessary and appropriate help for any visitor requiring medical and/or security assistance, as necessary.
• Greets, assists, and directs patients, visitors, and others who enter the hospital in a courteous and professional manner at all times.
• Answers the phone in a timely manner using the proper greeting. On a daily basis, properly uses AIDET.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education
Required:

• High School Diploma or GED is required.

(1) The ability to communicate both orally and in written format well.

(2) General knowledge of hospital informational systems.

(3) General working knowledge of computer systems.

(4) Physically capable of constant standing for several minutes, walking, and lifting of heavy equipment and/or patients as deemed necessary.

(5) The ability to be courteous and professional at all times
