Graham Surveying Ltd Looking for Resource Management Planner at Christchurch, Canterbury Full Time

Graham Surveying is a Survey, Spatial and Land Development consultancy based in Christchurch. We are looking for a Graduate / Intermediate Resource Management Planner to join our Resource Management Planning team and assist in the delivery of Land Development and residential housing projects for Government and private clients across New Zealand.

This role will provide the opportunity to be involved with a significant project that has the potential to re-calibrate how residential development projects are delivered in New Zealand.

We are flexible to build roles around the strengths of our staff and are looking for a Graduate / Intermediate Resource Management Planner interested in the delivery of land use, subdivision and discharge consents as part of our residential and commercial development projects.

Our flat and integrated structure means all our staff from Director to Junior level are directly involved in the delivery of our projects. This enables us to be responsive and flexible to our clients needs and to provide a supportive and inclusive environment for our staff. We are focused on continuous development of our skills and capabilities to improve the services we deliver for our clients and improve outcomes on their projects.  

You will possess:

• Must be a Professionally Qualified with New Zealand experience.
• An  understanding of the Resource Management Act and Regional and District Plans.
• Keen to develop experience in the preparation of land use, subdivision, and discharge consent applications.
• The ability to think clearly and outside the box to solve problems and clearly articulate your position.
• Enjoy taking responsibility for your own projects and be comfortable engaging and developing positive relationships with our team, clients, contractors and Council staff.
• A positive attitude, willingness to learn, sense of humour and no ego!
