Position Overview:

Our client is seeking a Full Stack Software Developer to participate in their full SDLC using Agile and Waterfall methodologies to analyze, document, design, implement, maintain, and support complex financial aid products for internal and external customers. Our client makes financial aid simple and student friendly for their school clients. They believe that effective financial aid management solutions stem from a combination of expertise and technology. With 30 years of experience developing technology to solve business problems and over 40 years of experience in higher education and Title IV management, our client provides the most user-friendly, affordable financial aid compliance and management solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Full Stack Development: Full-stack development of web applications/services using Microsoft technologies, leveraging a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience
• Database and Data Skills: Utilize 3+ years of hands-on experience in SQL, along with 2+ years of expertise in ETL and data warehouse development and demonstrate proficiency in database and C# code optimization.
• Technical Proficiency:
• Apply technical expertise in FTP protocols and FTP clients, Internet Information Server (IIS) administration, Microsoft Azure, and DevOps to enhance project efficiency.
• Analytical Problem Solving: Demonstrate and apply strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities to address challenges encountered in complex development scenarios.
• Effective Communication: Communicate clearly and effectively through both written and verbal channels to ensure seamless collaboration within the development team and other stakeholders.
• Agile Development Collaboration: Contribute to and uphold the principles of Agile – Scrum Development Processes, fostering a collaborative and adaptive development environment.
• Independent Self-Starter: Work independently, demonstrating a strong self-starter mentality, with meticulous attention to detail in coding and project execution

Requirements:

• Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science. Additional degree and software development certificates preferred.
• Technology Stack Mastery: Minimum 3 years of proficiency with ASP.NET C#, MVC, Entity Framework, OOP, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), JavaScript, jQuery, jQuery Mobile, and multi-layer architecture design.
• Database and Data Skills:
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with SQL.
• 2+ years of expertise in ETL and data warehouse development.
• Proven experience in database code optimization.
• Technical Proficiency:
• Familiarity with FTP protocols and FTP clients.
• Experience in Internet Information Server (IIS) administration.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure and DevOps.
• Proficiency in Git and Team Foundation Server (TFS) for source control.
• Project Management Tools: Familiarity with Jira for effective project management.
• Testing Expertise: Proficient in Unit Testing and Integration Testing methodologies.
• Agile Development: In-depth understanding and a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with Agile – Scrum Development Processes
