The Role

As part of a growing team, you will be empowered to bring your unique perspective and expertise to the advancement of our solutions. Reporting to the Development Lead, the Senior Software Developer is responsible for ensuring continuous innovation and development of Greencap Digital products from inception to deployment and production support. This role will work as an integral part of creative and motivated teams to ensure high-quality benchmarks are met for deliveries of innovative products for local and international markets.

To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

• Strong architecture, design, development and collaboration skills gained in developing software product solutions

• Creativity, motivation and strong communication
• Hands-on experience with developing and implementing integrations
• Effective time management skills for handling multiple projects and goals superior written and oral communication skills
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills; and
• Strong documentation skills

Technical Skills

• LAMP stack;
• PHP frameworks Laravel, Zend, Symfony;
• Solid OOP skill in PHP, with S.O.L.I.D principle in mind.
• HTML5, CSS, Javascript;
• JQuery, Bootstrap, Dojo;
• Experience with writing unit tests.
• Comfortable with Jira and GIT version control system;
• Normalised SQL database design, strong experience in MySQL
• Knowledge of building and consuming REST API
• Comfortable with cloud computing service (AWS preferred)

Bonus Technical Skills:

• Some exposure to ReactJs projects.
• Mobile development experience
• Some knowledge or experience in Kubernetes is definitely a bonus
• Infrastructure as code (Terraform preferred)
