Job Summary

Join the team at Greta Point Cafe! We are looking for a reliable Kitchen Hand who understands the ethic of hard work and fast service.

As a kitchen hand at Greta Point Café you will provide support to the Head Chef. It is a small but busy kitchen which includes the Head Chef and Kitchen hand themselves. Previous work experience in the kitchen is an advantage. Ability to work in a fast paced environment is essential.

The ideal candidate can multi-task and can work under pressure.

This is a full time permanent position. Applicant must be available to work on Tuesday – Saturday between 9am – 4pm. There is an opportunity for the applicant to work Sunday 9am – 4pm as well if desired.

Responsibilities and Duties

You will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:

• Assisting Head Chef – such as preparing salads and side dishes
• Food preparation – cleaning and cutting vegetables/fruits
• Plating dishes
• Cleaning in kitchen
• Stock management

Skills

• Previous experience in hospitality required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment is a must
• Can multi-task
• Efficient
• Strong work ethic and reliable
• Works well under pressure
• Food handling

• Due to the role being a permanent role, our preference is that if the candidate is on working visa this visa shall not expire within the next 12 months
