About the Role

Grio is looking for a fully remote, full-time, Visual/UI designer with well-rounded skills to execute all phases of design. Our Visual/UI Designers work on multiple projects that support our various clients. During the course of each project, there will be opportunities to collaborate with other teams at Grio and to hone your skills and deepen your experience as a designer. This is what else you can expect as a Visual/UI Designer at Grio:

• You will tackle various design problems and make smart decisions, including weighing the pros and cons of different design directions.
• You will design web and mobile applications, websites, and contribute to other creative projects that involve brand, identity, and marketing.
• Your work will involve researching design concepts, creative interactive prototypes, producing polished, detailed visual designs & application interfaces, and collaborating with cross functional teams to create strategy and solve problems.

Requirements

About You

You ideally have previous experience working with clients or in a design agency, can work independently and autonomously, as well as collaboratively, within a team environment, pivot easily and run in a different direction when needed, and can receive constructive feedback without losing momentum. We are seeking someone with the ability to design throughout an entire project lifecycle, from planning and discovery, research, conceptual designs, detailed visual design and asset handoff . You should have strong experience designing for mobile platforms (iOS and Android) and excellent visual design skills, attention to detail, and demonstrated mastery of typography, color, and layout.

• 5-7 years of experience in a client-facing role, preferably in an agency setting, designing in an existing style and/or create new directions when needed
• Pixel-precise design skills
• Outstanding portfolio demonstrating the successful delivery of practical and/or innovative interface design solutions for iOS, Android, and web applications
• Strong working knowledge of interaction design, user-centered experience design, brand identity design, digital marketing
• In-depth familiarity with the latest trends in mobile and web app user experience
• Spark fresh ideas and push creativity, challenge established thinking, and discover new ways of solving a problem
• Ability to create basic clickable prototypes as well as immersive, animated prototypes
• Communicate design rationale effectively to key stakeholders and clients
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (fellow designers, product managers, developers) to create designs solutions and deliverables
• Understanding of platform and device requirements such as form factors, screen resolutions, pixel density and aspect ratios
• Proficiency with design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
