Group W Looking for Software Developer at Vienna, VA Full Time

Location: Vienna, VA

Overview: A software developer at Group W routinely applies programming and software engineering expertise to architect, develop, and enhance defense analytic and workflow tools. Knowledge of a range of languages and web-based technologies is critical. Developers will work on a hybrid team with other software developers and modelers to innovative wargaming applications for multiple defense organizations. While this position will be based in Vienna, VA, occasional work in Dumfries and/or Alexandria may be required.

Requirements

• 3+ years of software development experience in a civilian environment OR technical/IT experience in a military environment
• Department of Defense Secret clearance
• Undergraduate degree in computer science or related field
• Experience using at least two of the following: C++, Java, JavaScript and/or Python
• US citizenship

Preferred

• CompTIA Security+ certification
• Experience with GraphQL
• Graduate-level coursework in computer programming

Responsibilities

• Instantiate wargame mechanics to enrich the player experience and facilitate wargame adjudication processes.
• Design and develop a user experience to execute required player functions for the computer-assisted wargame.
• Integrate data mappings and exchanges between different DoD tools.
